SOLUTION: A mobile station 3 enters a radio zone 2 of a base station A1 to receive a control channel 4 transmitted from the station A1 and also to receive a character code showing a station name, an address, etc. The station 3 confirms whether the received character code has a format that can be decoded (can be converted into characters) and then confirms a prescribed format to convert the character code into characters via a character data processing part 13. The converted characters are displayed on a display LCD 16 to show a station name, etc., or notified in voice via a speaker 18 to show a station name, an address, etc. Under such conditions, it is decided whether the data format of received character information is effective or not and then the processed character information on a multi-frame is stored in a memory. Then a warning is set and given to a user when the received character information matches the set data (destination).
