<p>The present invention is related to antigenic components which are specific for three indicator fungi, Stachybotrys chartarum, Aspergillus versicolor and Memnoniella echinata and which do not cross-react with other fungi common in the environment. Also disclosed are their use for producing binding substances and manufacturing test kits for evaluating the quality and extent of fungal contamination, remedial measures needed and checking the success of applied remedial measures as well as their use for checking whether a person has been exposed to the indicator fungi and/or if there is a link between allergic response of a person and the exposure to the indicator fungi.</p> |
