C-shaped inductors (1, 1) for induction heating a heated steel material (6) that is carried via table rollers (9 and 9). Each C-shaped inductor (1) includes a C-shaped iron core (2) having a pair of legs (3, 3) facing each other by sandwiching a gap (4) through which the heated steel material (6) passes, and heating coils (5, 5) wound around the pair of legs (3, 3) of the C-shaped iron core (2). A ring-shaped iron core (11) for restricting induced currents generated in the heated steel material (6) is disposed near the C-shaped inductors (1, 1), and the heated steel material (6) passes through the gap (4) of each C-shaped inductor (1). <IMAGE> |
