PURPOSE: A device of a scroll compressor is provided to prevent excessive discharge oil via an outlet pipe by installing an oil gate making oil flow reversely at a specific height of a baffle when an oil pressure of an outlet pipe is over a specific level. CONSTITUTION: A baffle(53) has an upper hole(53a) for passing refrigerant gas and a lower hole(53b) for passing oil. An oil gate(57) opened and closed in one way is connected to the baffle by a hinge(58). A scroll compressor is operated by the rotation of a rotor whereto a rotary shaft is fitted by the electromagnetic force with a stator. According to the rotation of the rotary shaft, a slewing scroll slews around a fixed scroll and the refrigerant gas sucked via a suction pipe is compressed in a compressing chamber formed between the slewing scroll and the fixed scroll. The compressed air is discharged via an outlet formed in the fixed scroll and then discharged out of the compressor via an outlet pipe. If compression is performed excessively due to excessive rotation of the rotary shaft, oil gathers to the right of the baffle and the surface of the oil rises rapidly. If a height difference(hmax) is formed due to rapid elevation of the oil surface, the oil gate rotates by centering on the hinge and the oil gate is opened. The oil at the right of the baffle flows to the left through the oil gate thus the discharge of the oil out of the compressor is prevented.
