PURPOSE: A method for displaying discount rate of cellular phone depend on time is provided to display a discount time, and a non-discount time, and to control telephony by using the discount time. CONSTITUTION: A controller selects a setup menu of a discount time, and inputs a discount time to set up the discount time. The controller continuously compares a present time with the set discount time, to display an icon notifying a user of the discount time in a screen only when the present time is included in the discount time. If a telephone number and a speech key are inputted in a standby mode, the controller checks whether the discount time is pre-set up. If the discount time is pre-set up, the controller confirms whether the present time is included in the discount time. If the present time is included in the discount time, the controller forms a speech path. If the present time is not included in the discount time, the controller rejects speech connection.
