The combined ventilation and heating method has the outside air supplied to the roon heated by the vented room air via a heat exchanger (1), with additional heat supplied to the air fed into the room using a warm gas, e.g. the exhaust air from a clothes drier or a combined washer/drier (7), or the exhaust air from the drier in combination with the exhaust gas of the gas burner, when the drier is gas operated.
