PURPOSE: A fuel injection volume compensation apparatus is provided to reduce smoke caused by an incomplete combustion, and lengthen useful life of engine by removing the air existing at the gap between cylinder head and piston. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises an expanding/contracting member(112) which operates in accordance with the degree of external atmosphere pressure; and a forward/backward adjusting unit(120) interposed between the expanding/contracting member and a control rack(322) and which moves the control rack forward or backward in accordance with the expansion or contraction of the expanding/contracting member. The forward/backward adjusting unit includes a control bar(122) connected to the expanding/contracting member and which has an end provided with a tapered surface(124); a control lever(126) having a center portion hinge-coupled within a speed governor, and a first arm(128) contacting the tapered surface of the control bar so as to rotate according to the movement of the control bard; and a floating lever(132) having a center portion hinge-coupled within the speed governor, a third arm(134) connected to the control lever, and a fourth arm(136) inserted into a slit(140) formed at the control rack for adjusting fuel injection volume. The floating lever moves the control rack forward/backward in accordance with the rotation of the control lever.
