<p>A method of treating a dilute aqueous suspension of a ceramic particulate material comprising β-sialon to dewater or concentrate the particulate material in the suspension includes the steps of (a) repeatedly passing the suspension under pressure through a cross-flow membrane filtration device; and further dewatering the particulate material of the suspension either by (b) adding the suspension to a porous cast or mould; or by (c) spray drying the particulate material. A body of material may be obtained which may be sintered to produce a ceramic article.</p> |
