METHOD OF MANAGING CHANNEL OF EQUIPMENT HAVING DIGITAL INTERFACE

PURPOSE: A method of managing a channel of an equipment having digital interface is provided to previously secure a channel number assigned by a rule of IEC61883 for a broadcast-out connection in the digital equipment having at least two or more digital interfaces and output plugs. CONSTITUTION: Whether a channel previously assigned to an output plug exists is decided. The channel is used, if the channel exists. Other channels having serial numbers are newly received corresponding to the number of the output plug provided in an equipment if the channel does not exist, and one of the channel numbers is used corresponding to the output plug. In the method, a broadcast channel base value set to an output plug control register is changed according to the newly assigned channel numbers. Once the channel securing process is performed in the equipment, the channel number to be used in each output plug is previously secured, and the secured channel number is used in the next connection process.
