PURPOSE: A method for automatically transmitting a character message in a mobile wireless terminal is provided to set up an automatic transmission function of a character message in a state that a user is incapable of receiving calls, and to send a registered character message to an originator. CONSTITUTION: A CPU inputs a selection key for automatic character transmission, and detects a presently produced character message. If the produced character message is not detected, the CPU inputs character keys to produce a desired character message. The CPU stores the produced character message, and inputs a time for detecting an incoming time. If a setup key for an automatic character transmission function is inputted, the CPU stores the inputted incoming state detection time and the character message and sets up the automatic character transmission function. Accordingly, the CPU registers the character message to be transmitted. If call incoming is performed in a state that the character message is registered, the CPU sends the character message to an originating party.
