PURPOSE: A flexible oil seal is provided to promote continuous sealing of a mounting portion by changing length in the axial direction. CONSTITUTION: An oil seal(20) is mounted between first/second axial members(12,16). An elastic member(27) in closed space(23a) applies elastic repulsive force to a side lip portion(26) even when an axial distance between the two axial members is changed or the side lip portion is worn away. Herein, the closed space is formed on a body portion(23) of the oil seal. The front end of the side lip portion is closely contacted with a gap side(16a) of the second axial member . Thus, impurities such as dust does are kept away from the mounting portion of the oil seal. In addition, a main lip portion(24) and an auxiliary lip portion(25) are closely contacted with an outer mounting side(17) of the second axial member doubly. The two lip portions are formed on the body portion of the oil seal in the inner diameter direction. Therefore, the mounting portion of the oil seal is interrupted from a lubricant coated over a bearing(14).
