PURPOSE: An automatic locking/unlocking apparatus for a sliding door and a window is provided to facilitate locking/unlocking of an object of open/close, and prevent an intruder. CONSTITUTION: An automatic releasing apparatus comprises; a case of certain shape(10) installed in an object(100) of open/close and having an entrance hole(11) in one side; a driving link(20) installed in one side of the inside of the case and rotated by the motion of a knob(22); a release link(30) installed in the case and supported by a spring(34) to be corresponded to a latching device(50) fixed in a frame(200) of the object according to the motion of the driving link; and a spring member(40) supported by the driving link elastically and projected from one side of the case so that the part of the spring member is corresponded to a latching part(51) of the latching device and the one end is corresponded to release link. In the outside of the case, an elastic member(60) for shock absorption is installed.
