PURPOSE: A method for setting up reservation speech in a mobile terminal is provided to set up the reservation speech by using incoming/originating telephone numbers after a call. CONSTITUTION: When a user ends telephone speech(S31), a mobile terminal decides whether the ended speech is for incoming telephone or originating telephone(S32). If for originating telephone, the user performs a reservation speech menu by pressing the second input key. If the speech is for incoming telephone, whether an incoming telephone number is stored in a memory is decided(S33). If stored, a menu for setting up reservation speech is displayed on a liquid crystal display(LCD), and a timer is operated(S34). Whether the user inputs the second input key in the predetermined time for setting up the reservation speech is decided(S35). If so, a time value and telephone number for reservation is displayed on the LCD, and the timer displays a time value multiplying a pressed number of times of the second input key by a basic reservation time of ten minutes on the LCD(S37). If a response of the user does not exist in a predetermined time, whether the setup time is ended is decided(S36). If not ended, a response of the user is waited until a predetermined time. If the setup time is ended, a menu for ordinary functions is restored(S40). If the user inputs the second input key and extends a reservation speech time, a time value for reservation speech is set up. And if the user finally decides the reservation speech time and telephone number, the first input key is inputted by the user(S38) and contents for the reservation speech setup are stored(S39). And the menu for ordination functions is restored to end a setup operation of reservation speech(S40).
