PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for deciding whether a speech recognition device exists in a specified environment, such as, for example, in a room of a hotel, by adopting a constitution that a speech control device announces a response when the identification phrase related to the speech control device having an utterance recognition system is recognized. SOLUTION: This method includes a step of providing the apparatus with the speech control device having the utterance recognition system in the communication environment and a step of receiving the identification phrases related to the speech control device. The speech control device announces the response when the identification phrase is recognized. For example, the speech control devices 102A to 102H include, as option, communication interfaces which perform the remote control of the speech control type devices. The speech control type device 102A has a connection 105 for connection to a telephone system. In this method, the speech control device 102A makes announcement to a user from a remote place and makes recognition by receiving a command. |
