<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording material jam detecting device for a heating device capable of rapidly detecting that recording material is jammed without having to increase the number of sensors. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a traveling detecting means 108 detecting the traveling movement of the recording material after heating processing by setting, as a starting point, the change of the wave number of power supplied to a heating body 19 whose temperature is controlled, and a jamming deciding means 109 stopping the traveling movement of the recording material by deciding that the recording material is jammed if the detecting means 108 does not detect the traveling movement of the recording material, when a prescribed time elapses after the detecting means 108 detects the change of the power supply to the heating body 19.</p> |
