<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To insert adequately and easily for various pipes, regardless of the thickness of the pipe. SOLUTION: A short tube part 1a at one end of an annular base member 1 is inserted from the outside into a hole 8a of a hand-hole sidewall 8 and tightened from the inside with a tightening nut 4, to retain the annular base member 1. A tube-shaped cover 2, made of easy-to-cut elastomer and tapered with a top narrow shape, is fitted coaxially to the other end of annular base member 1. At least three pipe-retaining volts 3 are screwed at a central part of the annular base member 1 from the outer boundary part to the center to constitute an inserting hole. Then, the tube-shaped cover 2 with the taper is cut at a position with the same inner diameter as the outer diameter of a pipe 6 to be inserted and joined. The pipe 6 is inserted into the cut opening and passed the inside of the annular base member 1. The pipe 6 is held in a pushed state from at least three directions with the pipe-retaining volts 3, so that a pipe 6, regardless of the thickness thereof, can be treated and jointed easily.</p> |
