PURPOSE: A voltage control circuit for damping a washing machine and a method for the same are provided to discharge unnecessary voltage when damping a system. CONSTITUTION: A voltage control circuit for damping a washing machine and a method for the same comprise a voltage supply portion(10), a motor driving portion(20), a voltage detecting portion(30), and a micro computer(40). The voltage supply portion(10) converts a supplied voltage to necessary voltage and outputs it. The motor driving portion(20) is installed between the voltage supply portion(10) and a motor(M) in order to control a flow rate of the current and drive the motor(M). The voltage detecting portion(30) monitors the voltage between the voltage supply portion(10) and the motor driving portion(20) and generates a monitor voltage according to its result. The micro computer(40) compares the monitor voltage with a reference voltage, converts the flow direction of the current, and outputs a voltage control signal for a charging or discharging operation. |
