PURPOSE: A shroud for a refrigerator is provided to minimize a cold air loss by reducing the size of turbulence formed around a cooling fan with an additional rim inside a round rim. CONSTITUTION: A shroud for a refrigerator is installed around a cooling fan(60) and a convex round rim(51) is formed near the cooling fan in the inlet direction of current. The round rim forms an intermediate rim(52) along the inner center. According to the movement of the cooling fan, a cold air flows in the shaft direction of the cooling fan and the shroud induces the flow of the cold air. The round rim flows the cold air along the curved face to minimize the flow resistance of current. Current in the edge generates turbulence inside the round rim, enlarging outside after passing through the cooling fan. The intermediate rim is divided into small sections to reduce the size of the turbulence. Thus, the shroud reduces flow resistances and a cold air loss. |
