Fuel cell arrangement comprises a sulfur filter (4) which is provided before sulfur-sensitive reformer parts (7) in the flow direction of a process gas, e.g. natural gas. Sulfur-resistant parts (2) are arranged before the sulfur filter. A three-way valve (3) is directly arranged before the sulfur filter, the third connection of the valve being connected to a line (5) that introduces oxygen-containing regeneration gas. A further three-way valve (6) is directly arranged after the sulfur filter and is connected to a waste gas line (8). Preferred Features: A heater (13) for heating the gas is arranged in the line (5) which is connected to a heater provided with a burner and acts to remove the waste gas of the heater. The heater is a heat exchanger whose primary circuit is subjected to the waste gases from the burner.
