PURPOSE: A method for testing the performance of a base station in a mobile communication system, is provided to have directional couplers for couple signals in each sub block of the base station, and to additionally install ports to a radio frequency(RF) transmission path and an RF receiving path. CONSTITUTION: A call is set to an optional sub block located on a radio frequency(RF) transmission/receiving path of a base station. A signal is coupled from the set sub block setting the call, and transmitted to a base station test unit(BTU). The BTU analyzes the coupled signal, to measure whether the sub block setting the call has an error. A coupling operation is performed through ports added to the sub block, by using a directional coupler. If more than one call is set, signals coupled from each sub block are mutually isolated and transmitted to the BTU.
