ADHESIVE FOR POLYESTER FIBER

PURPOSE: An adhesive having excellent adhesion to a polyester as an adherent by incorporating a specified amount of a polyfunctional component such as polycarbonic acid, polyol and polyoxycarbonic acid into a copolymerized polyester is provided, which causes no yellowing and can produce a nonwoven fabric and a padding product at low cost. CONSTITUTION: This adhesive is prepared by incorporating 10 to 1,000ppm polyfunctional component based on the total weight of the copolymerized polyester into a composition comprising 80 to 50% by mole of terephthalic acid and 20 to 50% by mole of o-phthalic anhydride (o-phthalic acid) as a dicarbonic acid component and 98 to 80% by mole of ethylene glycol and 2 to 20% by mole of diethylene glycol based on the moles of dicarbonic acid as a diol component and polycondensing, wherein the polyfunctional component is trimellitic acid.
