PURPOSE: A paper feeder of a printer is provided to widen an interval between a forward roller and a reverse roller by being interlocked with taking out a cassette. CONSTITUTION: A pickup roller pushes a paper into a printer by rotating with the paper loaded in a cassette(200). Forward and reverse rollers(120,130) supply the paper to a paper supply route while passing the paper through space adhered to the rear end of the pickup roller. A slider(150) moves with the cassette upon the entrance of the cassette. The slider is installed in the printer to be slidable and prepared with a cam projection(152). A first spring(171) elastically inclines the slider in the opposite direction of the entrance direction of the cassette. An ascending member(140) is installed on a lower part of the forward roller to be ascendable by supporting the reverse roller. A second spring(172) elastically inclines the ascending member in the direction that the revere roller is fixed to the forward roller. As soon as the cassette comes out of the printer, the reverse roller is separated from the forward roller. Accordingly, the paper is prevented from being torn.
