<p>The invention relates to the steering nozzle (5) of a water jet engine (1), and to a system and a method for using the water jet engine (1) as a water pump. In the system the pumped water is taken from the water jet generated by the engine (1) with the aid of a tubular water jet control member (12) mounted against or within the steering nozzle (5). The jet port (6) at the end (16) of the steering nozzle (5) can be arranged to be movable in the direction of the water jet flowing out through the outlet port (4) and against it.</p> |
