An improved sheeter wire device (210) providing constant tension on a feeder spool (282) even during wire breakage. A constant speed motor (288) draws wire (260) across the face of the sheeter (240) while a drage motor (286) maintains constant tension on the wire. A pair of pinch rollers (296, 297) prohibit unwinding of the feeder spool in the event of wire breakage.
