The accelerator pedal unit has a pedal attached to a pedal lever, supported by a pivot pin within a pedal housing (5) and acted on by a resetting spring. The bearing bore (11) for the pedal lever in the pedal housing has a bearing sleeve (10) enclosing a sliding sleeve (12), with an integral sensor housing (14), for a measuring element registering the pedal position.
