摘要 The control system (38) is configured to interrupt a primary circuit, thereby establishing a secondary current which is discharged across a spark plug (24). A sensing circuit generates a secondary current signal representative of a level of secondary current. The control system (38) terminates the discharge by closing a switch (22) that allows the primary current to flow again in preparation of a second spark. The discharge is terminated by a processing circuit (40) when the secondary current level reaches a threshold value determined as a function of engine speed and ambient temperature.
