The patent relates to the function extension of a TV set, inputting the caller ID information transferred from a telephone network to a telephone terminal to the TV set in wire or wireless way, identifying by remote control signal processing program of the TV set, converting the caller ID contents into a caption mode by the caption display control circuit (OSDC) of the TV set to display on the screen with the currently broadcasting television picture.
