A window pane engages on an elastomer sealing profile. The profile (5) is held on a window shaft top face. It has a longitudinal scraper edge (15) on a horizontal visible edge (13), facing the window pane (14) and separated from it by a shaft gap (16). A long profile leg (18) is moveable in transverse vehicle direction and engages elastically on the window pane and seals the gap with a sealing lip (19). The lip engages on the scraper edge and executes a scraper movement. The window lifter generates a pumping movement of the window glass so that dirt on the sealing lip surface is removed by a relative movement of the scraper edge.
