摘要 For the operation of a bobbin winding station, to produce cross wound bobbins, the reciprocating stroke movement of the yarn guide exceeds a given threshold value during an initial time span within a component of the yarn draw force aligned generally on a direction which is orthogonal to the yarn movement. During a second time span, the threshold value is not breached. At least one of the time spans is used to register the actual draw force on the yarn. Pref. after each stroke movement, the ratio of the two time spans is computed against each other, to give the actual yarn draw force. On determining the actual yarn draw force, at least one additional parameter of the winding station is taken into account such as the winding speed, the thickness of the yarn (22) and the laying width. The first time span is taken within the yarn guide (58) reciprocating stroke movement where there are two limit stop sensors (118,120) on both sides of the path, and the second time span is taken where there are no sensors. An Independent claim is included for a bobbin winding station with a yarn guide (58) which swings on a pivot point (116) at an angle to the longitudinal axis of the yarn, to give a reciprocating guide movement. Limit stop sensors (118,120) are in the swing path of the yarn guide (58), at a given gap (a). The yarn guide (58) is held by a spring (114) below a given yarn draw force threshold value, between the sensors (118,120). Preferred Features: The yarn guide (58) is at the lower corner of the triangle formed by the reciprocating guide action. The yarn guide (58) swing movement carries it parallel to a rotary axis of the reciprocating mechanism. The yarn guide (58) has a U-shaped yarn guide section (104) with a holding zone (106) for the yarn (22), in a width equal to the max. dia. of the wound bobbin. The longitudinal axis of the spring (114) is generally at right angles to the longitudinal yarn axis and, when at rest, bisects the reciprocating motion triangle. The spring (114) has an adjustable spring tension and length of spring arm. The sensors (118,120) open and close an electrical circuit, with a short circuit contact action through the guide section (104). The yarn guide section (104) and the spring (114) are of an electrically conductive material with an earthed potential.
