Apparatus for measuring the temperature of a medium using the Seebeck effect comprises an induction coil (3) for converting high frequency energy with a thermocouples (A, B). The thermocouple has a measuring site (2) which is provided to expose the medium whose temperature is to be measured. The thermocouple has a comparison site to which a measuring device (7) for measuring the thermoelectric voltage is connected. Capacitors (5) are provided via which a thermoelectric wire of the thermocouple is shorted. A coil (9, 10) is connected in at least one of the thermoelectric wires.
