The invention relates to an electromagnetic actuator comprising an armature (5) which effects upon a control member (11) that is to be actuated and at least one electromagnet (1, 2), which has at least one yoke body (16) partially surrounded by a housing (20) made from a heat-conducting, non-magnetic material, said yoke body being made from soft magnetic material and carrying a coil (17). A heat conducting connection (21) is provided at least on the contact surfaces between the coil (17) and the yoke body (16).
