PURPOSE: A method for processing alarm signals of an optical transmitter is provided to perform a lower level of alarm signal process relating to a duplicated alarm signal, so as to perform an alarm system in real time and to reduce a redundancy. CONSTITUTION: An alarm signal processor decides whether a new alarm signal is generated in a state of an existing alarm signal being announced. If so, the alarm signal processor compares a level of the new alarm signal with a level of the existing alarm signal. If the level of the new alarm signal is higher than the level of the existing alarm signal, the alarm signal processor announces the new alarm signal and sets up an existing alarm signal removing flag, then performs an alarm signal process. If the level of the new alarm signal is lower than the level of the existing alarm signal, the alarm signal processor maintains the existing alarm signal, and sets up a new alarm signal waiting flag to process an alarm signal. |
