PURPOSE: A water valve is provided to prevent water hammering inside a valve cartridge even though the flow of water is blocked by rapidly controlling a handle of the water valve. CONSTITUTION: In opening a valve, a control bar(26) is moved leftward. A seat cap(12) and a disk upper face(18) under a bush(2) are moved leftward. A piston(10) is moved to the position,(a). Cool/hot water is filled inside a cylinder(4). An extension of the piston(10) is freely performed without delaying. In closing the valve, the control bar(26) is moved rightward. The seat cap(12) and the disk upper plate(18) are moved rightward. The piston(10) is moved to the position,(b). The cool/hot water inside the cylinder(4) is discharged through a narrow water channel(16). Thereby, speed is limited. The piston is delayed and shrunk with back pressure by the resistance of the water. The motion of the seat cap(12) and the disk upper plate(18) are delayed. Thereby, water hammering is prevented without rapidly changing current speed of the cool/hot water through the disk upper plate(18).
