IMAGE EDITING SYSTEM

摘要

A base band signal containing images to be edited is compressed by a bit rate reduction encoder (5) and passed to the server (3) of a computer network (2) where it is recorded on hard disk. A number of editing terminals (4) retrieve the images from the server as required for editing. An application device (6) controls readout of specified files, setting of file names, recording area, and compilation of programme. Edited images from the terminals are returned to the server which then outputs the data to a BRR decoder for conversion to the original bit rate in the desired format. The image programme is stored temporarily in an on-air buffer (8).
