STABILIZER FOR ELECTRONIC LOW VOLTAGE NATRIUM LAMP

PURPOSE: A stabilizer is provided to lengthen useful life of natrium lamp and improving power factor by supplying constant voltage having no ripple, while maintaining minimum power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A stabilizer comprises a power input unit(10); a power factor improving/automatic voltage adjusting unit(20) for generating a high power factor constant voltage regardless of an input voltage and output current, by switching a rectified voltage through the use of a switching transistor(Q3), wherein the switching is performed by using a pulse width modulated square wave oscillation signal corresponding to the phase of the rectified voltage applied from the power input unit; an oscillation/output unit for turning on a low voltage natrium lamp coupled to the secondary side of an output transformer by alternately switching oscillation transistors through the use of a pair of oscillation transformers coupled to the output transformer; a lamp current detection unit for detecting the current flowing at the lamp coupled to the secondary side of the output transformer; an oscillation stop unit for stopping operation of the oscillation/output unit when the lamp current is not detected; and an oscillation restart unit for re-starting the oscillation/output unit at a predetermined cycle.
