<p>A catalyst having a nitrogen oxide-removing activity (DeNOx activity) in a low-temperature region of from 200 to 350 DEG C, a method for removing nitrogen oxides using the catalyst, and a method for keeping the DeNOx activity in a wide temperature region of from 200 to 600 DEG C are provided. The low-temperature-active catalyst is obtained by adding tellurium to a platinum-based catalyst and further adding thereto a zeolite and/or at least one kind of element selected from alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, boron, zinc, phosphorus, tungsten, molybdenum, tin and cerium. The DeNOx activity in the region of from low-temperature to high-temperature is achieved by combining the catalyst with an Ag- or Cu-based catalyst having a high activity at 300 DEG C and higher.</p> |
