PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing photosensitive belt of electrophotographic printer and method for removing the photosensitive belt using the apparatus are provided to remove the photosensitive belt safely, conveniently, and quickly. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for removing photosensitive belt of electrophotographic printer and method for removing the photosensitive belt using the apparatus, the apparatus comprises at least one pair of rollers(151, 152, 153, 154) for squeezingly supporting and carrying the photosensitive belt(100) by their rotation; a cutting blade(330) moving across the photosensitive belt and cutting it; a drum member(210) containing a filter cartridge(220) for filtering foreign substances in the interior air of the printer, which is rotatively mounted in a filter housing(200) mounted to be adjacent to the photoesensitive belt(100); and a drive device for rotating the container member(210), such that the container member(210) sucks the photosensitive belt, wherein the photosensitive belt(100) is cut by the cutting blade(330) and then is sucked into the filter housing(200) by rotating the pair of rollers and the container member. According to the apparatus, since the photosensitive belt is removed after it is forced to be automatically wound into the filter housing, removing work is carried out conveniently and quickly. In addition, since the photosensitive belt is always removed and changed together with the filter cartridge, the period for changing parts is simply managed.
