PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly turn an intermediate-sized and large-sized machines by utilizing a space-saving nozzle touching mechanism without applying an excess bending load to a ball screw. SOLUTION: The turning device for a motor-operated injection molding machine comprises injecting unit bases 18a, 18b of an injection unit 10 provided on a trestle through a slide base 17, a nozzle touching mechanism for converting a rotation of the motor 21 to a thrust force of the base 17, a turning shaft 24 for rotatably coupling the bases 18a, 18b to the base 17, a turning pin 25 for limiting forward movement of the base 18a to switch it to a rotatable state, a pin coupler 26 provided at a position deviated from the shaft 25 integrally with the base 18a to couple the base to the pin 25, a pin support fixed to the trestle to axially slidably support the pin 25, and a pin operating unit for inserting or retracting the pin 25 into or from the coupler 26.
