PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To machine parts of beautiful finish with excellent yield at a low cost from a flat work. SOLUTION: In this machining method, the masking to cover a part to be a core (parts) 2 of a work 1 by a masking material 3 is implemented in advance. A flat, soft backing member 6 is stuck on a base plate 4 by a lower adhesive 5a, and fixed thereto, and the masked work 1 is stuck on the soft backing member 6 by an upper adhesive 5b and fixed thereto. The fixed work 1 is mounted on a sand blasting machine together with the base plate 4, and the parts are obtained by blasting a through groove 9 to form an outer circumferential contour surface 2c of the core 2 along the outside of the outer circumferential contour shape of the core 2 without any masking material 3.
