PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability without disturbing photographing and without exerting excessive oppressive force to a testee. When the oppressive force for oppressing the testee obtained by combining the operation force applied from an operator and the supporting force of a power assist mechanism exceeds the previously determined max. oppressive force while judgment is made that the oppression cylinder oppresses the testee, such a commend velocity Vc' to prevent the oppressive force oppressing the testee from exceeding the maximum oppressive force is determined by a limit command velocity determining section 41 and is applied to a velocity control circuit 15, by which a motor 13 of the power assist mechanism is driven. In the cases exclusive of the case described above, the command velocity Vc meeting the operating force is determined in an ordinary command velocity determining section 40 and is applied to the velocity control circuit 15, by which the motor 13 is driven.
