PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partition device for a storage rack which enables a partition to be mounted in a certain horizontal position on a rack panel in order to prevent stored articles such as books from collapsing sideways in a storage rack such as a bookshelf; which prevents the partition from being twisted even when exerted with a longitudinal excessive force so as to enhance support strength; and which can restrain an increase in cost. SOLUTION: A stopper 4 is provided at the rear end edge of a rack panel 2 to form a forwardly open dovetail groove 7 between the stopper and the rack panel. A partition 3 placed on the rack panel is formed of a partition part 8 and a support part 9, and a locking part 10 which can be locked into and unlocked from the dovetail groove with the partition part held in an inclined condition is provided to project rearward from the rear end of either the right or left end of the support part. An engaging part 11 which engages, from above, a back rod placed horizontally above the rear edge of the stopper or the rack panel while the partition part is held upright is provided to project rearward from the rear end of the partition part.
