SURFACE TREATED WEATHERSTRIP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of creaking sound and sound of inferior sort caused by the sliding motion of the other member coming in close contact with the surface of a weatherstrip. SOLUTION: Paint containing hardening polyurethane formed of a combination of polyvalent isocyanate and polyol, hardening silicon, silicone oil and modified ethylene-propylene rubber, as paint film forming elements is applied to the surface of a weatherstrip, and paint forming a paint film of hardening silicon is further applied thereon as a top coat. The generation of creaking sound and sound of inferior sort between the weatherstrip and the other member coming in close contact with the surface of the weatherstrip can thereby be supprssed by a large margin.
