PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inspecting a liquid drop discharge device which measures hitting positions of main drops without being affected by satellites and evaluates the properties of a head correctly. SOLUTION: In a method for inspecting a liquid drop discharge device which forms an image by liquid drops discharged from a head, a prescribed inspection pattern is printed on a medium 1, and when the properties of the head are evaluated from the pattern, the diameter of a main drop is obtained from a dot width in the direction approximately perpendicular to the direction of the main drop/satellite alignment of a dot printed on the medium 1, and a position inside the dot shifted by the radius of the main dot from the end position on the main drop side in the direction of the main drop/satellite alignment of the dot is measured as the position of the dot. |
