PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expandable container for fluid which can store contents being capped with the least space in the container when the amount of contents stored therein becomes small. SOLUTION: This container for fluid is provided with an airtightly closable cap 12 for a mouth 11 formed in a container main body 1. The wall face of the container main body 1 is provided with an expandable part 15 in an expandable bellows shape for making it alterable the internal volume of the main body 1. This bellows shape wall face is covered outwardly with a detachable coating material for controlling the expandability of the bellows shape wall face. This prevents the shrinkage of the part 15 owing to vibration or shock during transportation. When the remainder of contents (a) becomes small, the part 15 is shortened and the cap is closed with the least amount of air inside. This prevents a change in quality of the contents (a) owing to the inside air.
