PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agitator by which the agitating time is shortened by increasing the rate of a fluid passing through the inside of a cell formed in the opposed faces of a couple of sheets without fretting the liq. surface. SOLUTION: Many cells 14 and 15 are formed in the opposed faces of a couple of sheets 10 and 11 revolving along with the shaft 4 rotated by a drive source 3 to constitute the agitator. An inlet 17 communicating with the cells is formed at least in the radial inner periphery of the sheet 10, and the space between the radial outer peripheries of the sheets is used as a discharge port 19. A fluid 2 is introduced from the inlet 17 due to the fluid flow generated in the cells by the centrifugal force caused by the revolving of the sheets 10 and 11, the fluid 2 is passed alternately through the cell 14 in the sheet 10 and the cell 15 in the sheet 11, discharged from the outer periphery, circulated in a bathtub 1 and agitated. In this case, a means 8 is provided to forcedly supply the fluid 2 toward the inlet 17.
