Process for preparing statistic polyester copolymer

In the present invention there is described a process for preparing statistic polyester copolymer, employing an ester based process for preparation of a low-molecular polymer based on naphthalate and an acid based process for preparation of oligomers based on phthalates or raw materials for preparing phthalate-based oligomers. The invented process can be preferably employed for preparing a low-molecular polyethylene naphthalate polymer based on ester, whereby the polymer is then combined with polyethylene naphthalate oligomers being prepared in acid-based process. The acid-based process is then employed for continuation of the polymerization reaction that leads to preparation of a statistic polyethylene terephthalate/naphthalate copolymer.
