PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform highly accurate grinding work, and to apply a grinding spindle to deep hole grinding work by restraining deflection and swing of a main spindle by enhancing rigidity of an outer cylinder part by arranging a reinforcing member of a material different from a body construction material of the outer cylinder part in an outer peripheral part of the outer cylinder part. SOLUTION: An outer cylinder part 12 is formed into a large diameter part 12a having a rear half part larger in an outside diameter than a front half part, and a cutout 21 is formed in a step part of a part for terminating this large diameter part 12a. Plural long grooves 19 are formed in the axial direction toward a tip part from this cutout 21. A reinforcing member 20 is embedded in these long grooves 19. A tip part of this reinforcing member 20 is terminated without extending up to an installing position of a front side angular ball bearing 13 so as not to interfere with the angular ball bearing 13. Thus, the outer cylinder part 12 operates to restrain deflection and swing of a spindle 11 supported on the inside by reinforcing so as to enhance the rigidity of the outer cylinder part 12 by the reinforcing member 20.
