摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic bearing device to be not high in an axial direction and formed into a compact manner, and favorable to high speed rotation. SOLUTION: An upper axial magnet 29 is disposed on the inside in the radial direction of an upper radial position detecting sensor 2 and an upper radial electromagnet 1 and at the upper part of a stator 27 with the upper axial electromagnet 29 positioned facing an upper target 22. Meanwhile, a lower axial electromagnet 31 is disposed above a lower target 25 at the internal part of the stator 27 on the inside in the radial direction of a lower radial electromagnet 5 and a lower radial position detecting sensor 6. An axial length necessary to disposing of the upper axial electromagnet 29 and the lower axial electromagnet 31 does not exceed an axial length necessary to disposing of the upper radial position detecting sensor 2, the upper radial electromagnet 1, a motor 7, the lower radial position detecting sensor 6, and the lower radial electromagnet 5.
