PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent bleeding and bronzing of an ink at a high humidity by incorporating at least two types or more of cationic polymers of at least one of an ink absorbing layer, in the same layer in an ink jet recording sheet having an at least one or more porous ink absorbing layers provided on a non-water absorbable support. SOLUTION: In an ink jet recording sheet having at least one or more porous ink absorbing layers on a non-water absorbable support for performing an image quality equivalent to that of a photograph by ink jet recording, at least one or preferably at least two types or more of cationic polymers are contained in the layer of the side most separate from the support of the ink absorbing layers in the same layer. Or, an aqueous polyvalent metallic ion may be contained in the porous ink absorbing layer. As the cationic polymer, a polymer having primary to tertiary amino group and a quaternary ammonium base can be used. Of them, since it has high fixability of a dye or the like, the cationic polymer having the quaternary ammonium base is preferred. |
