PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject patch capable of improving the transdermal permeation rate of a basic drug by including a biocompatible polymer layer, the transdermally absorbable basic drug and a permeation enhancer. SOLUTION: This patch comprises (A) a biocompatible polymer layer which is an adhesive selected from an acrylic resin, vinyl acetate, a natural and a synthetic resins, an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer or the like, (B) an effective amount of a transdermally absorbable drug having >=8.0 pKa (preferably scopolamine, fluoxatine, epinephrine, morphine or the like) and (D) a permeation enhancer substantially comprising triacetin. The effective amount of the contained ingredient C is preferably 0.1-50 wt.% expressed in terms of the triacetine. The master patch is capable of enhancing the transdermal delivery of the basic drug through skin and mucous membranes. |
